Our technician, Joseph Gabriel, was wonderful with the whole setup experience. He did an excellent job of walking us through the policy details and in showing us how to make the best use of our new security system. He was also very patient as we worked through some bumps with getting of the system pieces connected properly.

The ADT installer was very professional, knowledgeable and had great communication skills. He answered all of our concerns and questions and took extra time to help us set up the app. He was a wonderful representative for the company.

Kameron F did a wonderful job at setting up and explaining my new system. He was thorough with reviewing my many options, went over all financial avenues to best fit my budget, and was professional and friendly. Thanks again! Highly recommend your services!

Homes across Minneapolis vary more than a standard bundle allows for, so SafeStreets configures ADT-monitored equipment around the layout you actually have. Most installs start with Total Front Door Protection: an outdoor camera, a video doorbell, and a smart lock working as one system at the entry point that sees the most traffic.
Door and window sensors, motion detectors, and the ADT Command panel form the base of every Minneapolis install. Motion sensors are pet-friendly and can be set for pets up to a combined 80 pounds, so the household dog or cat is far less likely to trip the alarm. Your Elite Home Professional maps sensor placement to your floor plan and walks you through arming, app notifications, and false-alarm prevention before leaving.
Indoor and outdoor HD cameras give you color night vision, two-way audio, and motion-triggered recording. Watch live and speak through the camera from your phone. A video doorbell completes the front-door package, and your Elite Home Professional positions each camera around the entry points your Minneapolis home actually has.
Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide sensors, and water-leak monitors run on the same ADT alarm that covers your doors and windows, so one system watches for fire, carbon monoxide and water as well as intrusion. If a sensor trips at your Minneapolis home and you cannot answer the verification call, ADT follows its monitoring and dispatch procedure without you. Roughly 72 percent of homes in Minneapolis heat with gas, which is the reason the carbon-monoxide sensor is not an optional extra here.
Smart locks, thermostats, and lighting run through the same ADT Command app as your alarm. Lock up from your phone, schedule lights while you travel, or grant a contractor access to your Minneapolis home without leaving a key out. Alexa and Google Home connect out of the box, and your Elite Home Professional sets up the integrations you choose during the install.
A break-in is not the only thing that can empty a house. A kitchen fire, a carbon monoxide leak, or a single burst pipe can do comparable damage in minutes, and none of them announce themselves. SafeStreets puts smoke detectors, carbon monoxide sensors, and water-leak monitors on the same ADT alarm that protects your Minneapolis home against intrusion.
Smoke detectors signal ADT when they sense fire, whether you are asleep, at work, or away for the week. Carbon monoxide sensors catch what you cannot smell. Leak monitors flag a burst pipe before it reaches the floor. Your Elite Home Professional places each one for the way your Minneapolis home is laid out — outside each sleeping area, on each floor, beside the laundry hookup, and clear of the five-to-fifteen-foot buffer the manufacturer requires around cooking and fuel-burning appliances — and every sensor reports to the same 24/7 monitoring team as your door and window contacts.
Home automation does more than save you steps. SafeStreets ties smart locks, lighting, and thermostats into the same ADT panel that runs the alarm in your Minneapolis home, so one app covers your security and your automation together. The front door can be set to lock when the alarm arms, and unlocked remotely when a delivery arrives, so nothing depends on remembering.
The day-to-day payoff is quieter. Lighting schedules keep the house looking lived-in while you are away. Thermostats learn your patterns and stop conditioning an empty Minneapolis home. Cellular backup keeps the alarm signal transmitting if the power or broadband drops. And it answers to voice — “Alexa, arm SafeStreets” or “Hey Google, lock the front door” both work out of the box. Your Elite Home Professional configures the pieces you choose during the install.
Free ADT-monitored quote · Same-day install in most Minneapolis areas · Backed by over 185K reviews across Trustpilot and Google, 4.9 average.
Forty-three percent of Minneapolis homes predate 1940 and the median was built in 1951, so most installs here are in houses with wood storm windows, plaster walls and wiring that has been added to rather than planned.
Burglaries in Minneapolis fell about 11 percent between 2024 and 2025 per FBI Uniform Crime Reporting data from the Minneapolis Police Department, to 549 per 100,000 residents. Winter lows here average under 9 degrees, the coldest of any market SafeStreets has researched, and that kind of cold is hard on door seals and on battery-backed equipment placed in an unheated space. SafeStreets accounts for both at install, and every system is backed by 24/7 ADT monitoring.
