  • Connection to 24/7 ADT monitoring. Your system is connected and tested with the monitoring center.
  • App setup. We set up the ADT Control app on your phone so you can arm, disarm and check in from anywhere.

Your Elite Home Professional arrives prepared, works carefully in your home, installs each device and tests the complete system, so it works correctly from day one.

Before we leave, we demonstrate your panel and the ADT Control app so everyone in your household knows how to arm, disarm and get alerts.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the size of your system and the number of devices. Your security specialist will give you an appointment window and an expected time when you book.

Do I need to be home during installation?

Yes. The homeowner, 18 or older, needs to be home for the full appointment so your Elite Home Professional can confirm device placement, test the system with you and walk you through how it works.

How much does installation cost?

Installation is free. There is a $149 activation fee ($199 in California). Monitoring starts at $49.99 per month with a 36-month monitoring agreement (24 months in California).

Can I get same-day installation?

In many areas, yes. Schedule before 2 p.m. and an Elite Home Professional may be able to install your system the same day. See if same-day installation is available near you.

I already have a security system from another company. Can you take it over?

Often, yes. Tell your security specialist what you have now. Depending on your existing equipment, we can take over your system and connect it to 24/7 ADT monitoring, adding new equipment where it’s needed — so you don’t always have to start from scratch.

Do you install in rental homes?

Our systems are designed for owner-occupied homes. If you rent, your landlord can purchase a system for the property.

Do I have to install anything myself?

No. Your Elite Home Professional handles the installation, setup and testing, then shows you how to use everything.
